How Is an Influencer Rate Calculated?
The calculator starts from audience size, then adjusts for the work involved, how engaged your audience is, and what the brand gets to do with the content.
Influencer rate formula
Add-ons = 1 + usage rights % + exclusivity %
Many brands start from a benchmark of about $100 per 10,000 followers, which is $10 per 1,000. On X, rates per follower are usually much lower, so the calculator starts X at $2. The typical range shown with your result is 25% below and above the estimate, because real offers vary by niche, audience location and budget.
Worked example
| Followers ÷ 1,000 | 10 |
|---|---|
| × Base rate ($10) | $100 |
| × Short video (1.3) | $130 |
| × Engagement 4% (1.2) | $156 |
| × Add-ons (none, 1.0) | $156 |
Typical range: $117 to $195 per Reel.

- Story × 0.5
- Image or text post × 1.0
- Short video × 1.3
- Long or dedicated video × 2.0
Engagement adjustment
An engaged audience is worth more to a brand.
- Below 1% × 0.8
- 1% to below 3% × 1.0
- 3% to below 6% × 1.2
- 6% and above × 1.4
Usage and exclusivity
Extra rights cost the creator other opportunities.
- Usage 30 / 90 days / 12 months +20 / 40 / 75%
- Exclusivity 7 / 30 / 90 days +10 / 25 / 50%
These adjustments are the calculator’s own starting assumptions, chosen to reflect how brands usually price these factors. They are not official industry rates.

Influencer Rate FAQs
A common starting point is about $10 for every 1,000 followers for a standard post, then adjusting for the content format, your engagement rate and any extra rights the brand wants. Use the calculator above to see an estimate for your numbers.
It divides your followers by 1,000 and multiplies by a base rate. It then applies adjustments for content type and engagement, adds any usage rights and exclusivity fees, and multiplies by the number of deliverables. Every step is shown in the result so you can check it.
Brands want people to notice and act on their message. A creator whose audience likes, comments and shares more often can usually deliver more value per post than a creator with the same follower count but lower engagement.
Usage rights let the brand reuse your content outside your own channel, for example in paid ads or on its website. Exclusivity means you agree not to work with the brand’s competitors for a set time. Both have value to the brand and can cost you other deals, so they are usually charged on top of the base fee.
The result is an estimate, not a guaranteed price. Rates vary widely between countries, niches and brands. If you know what creators in your market charge, change the base rate per 1,000 followers and the calculator will update every number.
